| Welcome to THE PORTHILL PLAYERS The Porthill Players were founded in 1911, based in Newcastle Under Lyme. Since then, the society has grown to over one hundred members, who regularly stage major musicals and one-off concerts in and around Stoke-on-Trent. We always welcome new members for both on and off the stage activities. And of course, we have a great social life.
OKLAHOMA! It was a joyful, exuberant show It's a big show to live up to, but the Porthill Players rose to the occasion magnificently, and unusually for an amateur show, even the minor characters were spot-on. The songs were great, the dancing was enthusiastic, and the ballet sequence went without a hitch. It was a joyful, exuberant show. Tom Whiteley 'The Sentinel' |
